HOW TO CLEAN CARPET WITHOUT MACHINE:

Carpet flooring is the most preferred and popular option among homeowners due to its myriad benefits. It gives a comfy and soft feel under feet. Not only this it also adds value to your home and makes it cozy and stylish at the same time. When you have young children and dogs in the house, carpets may quickly get filthy and the prospect of cleaning them strangles you with the notion of utilizing rental machines.

Cleaning the carpet might be difficult when using a heavy machine, and it’s quite frustrating when you have to hire a specialist for cleaning purposes or to take a steam cleaner or vacuum on rent which you can not afford, but there is always a solution, and we have an alternate approach to clean the carpet.

You can also clean a carpet using basic items readily found in your house. The list of tools is as follows.

1-bucket

2-brush

3-mop

4-spray bottle

5- vinegar

6-baking soda

7- table salt

Here are some methods you employ to clean carpet without using a machine:

CLEANING DEBRIS: Regular cleaning carpet never allow debris to settle and gives a refreshing appearance to your carpet. The alternative to vacuum is a carpet sweeper and brush. Clean the entire carpet with a brush to remove the loose dirt and debris from it. You can also sweep the with a hard broom because its hard bristles go deep into the carpet and blow the dust out of it. Remember to sweep the carpet carefully to avoid making other furnishings messy.

REMOVING PET HAIRS FROM CARPET WITHOUT VACUUM: without using a vacuum cleaning carpet or removing hairs or pet fur seems to be difficult but you can clean it using paper tape, cut paper tape into pieces, and place it to the intended fur or hair on carpet to clean. Press the tape and push it off and remove it easily.

If your carpet has any stain on it, treat it instantly, blot the spot instead of rubbing or scrubbing it as it allows the stain to settle deep in carpet fibers.

Use hydrogen peroxide for cleaning the stain of your pet’s urine or other bodily fluid.

DEEP CLEAN THE CARPET: once you are done with sweeping and removing hairs, your carpet is ready for deep cleaning.

1- For a deep cleaning use the combination of vinegar and water and spray it onto the carpet, let the mixture sit on the carpet for an hour, then gently clean the entire area with a damp towel.

2- The second method for cleaning and dealing with odor is to sprinkle the baking soda on the carpet, let it sit for an hour, then sweep it away from the carpet using a brush or hard broom, this will clean and deodorize your carpet.

3- Another way of cleaning carpet includes the use of chemicals, namely baking soda and vinegar. Combine both of these in a spray bottle, dilute it with water so that it does not destroy the fabric of your carpet, and mix it thoroughly. Spray it on the carpet and dry it with a towel.
